Individual Athlete Programme (IAP):
This program provides scientific, life skills and athlete support to nominated elite athletes. The criteria for acceptance onto the programme are at least provincial colours, with the prospect of a medal at national/international level.In principle, there are currently 15 IAP Athletes in the Buffalo City Metro District.
-Buffalo City Metro High Performance Hubs :
Border Ladies Golf Hub:
The Ladies Golf Hub is based in the Buffalo City Metro District.
A total of 5 players (1 male and 4 females) aged between 17-25 years forms part of the Hub.
Michelle De Vries is assigned the role of Head Coach.
She is responsible for the technical/tactical developments of the programme.
The group of players train 3 times a week at the ECAS Buffalo City Metro District Academy Gym under the supervision of ECAS Sport Scientist.
Border Cricket Academy:
The Border Cricket Academy is based in the Buffalo City Metro District.
A total of 10 athletes form part of the Border Cricket Academy.
Mr Andre De Beer is assigned the role of Head Coach.
The group of players train 3 times a week at the ECAS Buffalo City Metro District Academy Gym under the supervision of ECAS Sport Scientist.
Border Swimming Hub:
The Swimming Hub is based in the Buffalo City Metro District.
A total of 10 athletes (5 males and 5 females) aged between 13-18 years forms part of the Swimming Hub.
The group of swimmers each have individual Coaches.
The Swimming Squad train 4 times a week at the ECAS Buffalo City Metro District Academy Gym under the supervision of ECAS Sport Scientist.
