Cathcart High School is a Public Combined School located in a small town, named Cartcart, which falls within the Amathole District Municipality. The school aims to ensure that children acquire and apply knowledge and skills in ways that are meaningful to their own lives. In this regard, the school curriculum promotes knowledge in local contexts, while being sensitive to global imperatives.
Cathcart High School has a number of extra-mural activities available to students. The school understands that participating in activities that their learners are passionate about can increase brain function, and help learners to concentrate and manage their time better, all of which contribute to higher grades. High-endurance sports, train students to focus and build stamina in the face of intense difficulty.
